Who We Are

Local Carbon Offset Funds UK has evolved from an idea developed by REDO, PRD and DC Sustainability.

Frustrated by current system failure in the offset markets and the impact this will have on achieving global climate goals we decided to do something about it.

We already work closely with a lot of the stakeholders who would be required to activate this model, the problem was they weren’t talking to each other.

We hope to galvanise interest in the idea and bring together local government, enterprise, housing associations, community organisations, BIDs and residents to deliver a pilot that will demonstrate there is a more credible way to offset GHG emissions, and from there to build a global movement around local carbon offsetting.

Harry Owen-Jones

REDO

Harry is a co-founder of 3Space and REDO. His initial interest in carbon offset funds was sparked when researching how they could fund the retrofit of the community infrastructure that 3Space operates. He is a keen advocate for business, government and local communities coming together to challenge the status quo and tackle big societal problems.

Carolina Eboli

PRD

Carolina is an Urban Designer and Architect qualified in her native Brazil and holds an MSc (Hons) degree in Urbanism from the Delft University of Technology. She has broad knowledge of the architectural and urban fields, drawing from her cross-discipline background and previous experience in significant projects. As Associate Director at PRD, Carolina is the in-house sustainability lead and brings a strong focus on net zero and circular economy to her projects. Carolina is also part of the London Doughnut Economy Coalition (LDEC).

Dan Carson

DC Sustainability

Dan is a real estate investor and independent sustainability advisor with clients covering climate risk data provides, Build to Rent operators, property developers and net zero consultancies. Dan has three master’s degrees spanning engineering, sustainability and business (MBA) and is on the CRREM Global Investor Committee.

Dan is a director and co-founder of PRD. Through PRD’s work Dan has supported a great number of local authorities, community organisations and businesses to work together and make better uses of the assets they already have, in order to deliver better activation, vitality and new amenity which are each key to creating socially, environmentally and economically fair and sustainable places.

Andrew Cribb

REDO

Andrew is co-founder of 3Space and director at REDO. Andrew led on 3Space’s partnership with Barclays bank converting surplus branch space into community co-working and maker space. At REDO he has developed multiple business models for projects that deliver commercial returns and community benefit. He has a background in urban planning and business.
